Friday afternoon I had the priviledge to leave work a little early (good boss folks), Bro. Mc, Wilson and I went to Trion for church. We knew they were in revival with the Harrison's. We enjoyed the service, as always it is good to be with the people of God, friends and family.
Of course, we had an ulterior motive. We got to see those great kids that call us 'grandma and grandpa'....you know, no matter how tired you are or how much traffic you have to fight on Friday afternoon in Atlanta, it just melts your heart when those you love jump up in your arms and say 'bramma mc, I love you' (Daniel)
He is quite a load now, when he jumps in your arms, you almost topple backwards. Better be prepared. Ha Ha.
The Harrison's looked great and it was a blessing to see them and worship with them again.
And of course, there is that great son in law (hate that phrase, we think of Bro. Cox as another of our children) of ours. He is very special and very caring. A great father and he treats Sis. Cox like an 'angel'. Now how many mom's can say that about their daughter's choice of a spouse???
Well, all I can say is that God has not failed us in anything we have put in His hands. He always supplies our needs, takes care of our family and
helps us when we depend on Him. He is our God and He is our FORTRESS. Sometimes when things are just more than we think we can bear, and we call on Him, I can feel that sheild come up around me to protect, to deter enemy darts, to keep us safe. Praise His name forever.
I have been praying today. Lord, lead us, protect us from deception, protect us from the onslaught of Satan, protect us from oppression and depression. I believe in one fold. Not in the devisiveness that is currently rampant among the children of God. Lord protect us, Lord lead us into thy paths, Lord, please direct us in every step....Lord help us to walk worthy of the vocation to which you have called us.
I know He will. As always...following Him.
